Should Be Sleeping~

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out.

Stolen from [info]sweetwithdrawl, even though I'm supposed to be sleeping. >>;

AND ALSO:

Ask me to take pictures of any aspect of my life that you're interested in or curious about. It can be anything from my favorite possession to anything else. Leave your requests as a comment to this entry, I'll snap the pictures and post them in the next post/comments.

From Good To Bad

I got my hair cut yesterday. It's not super short like last time, but kind of a bob-cut, but with the front longer than the back. I like it... however. My hair has a tendency to flip outward when it's short, which it is doing with a vengence, so now if I want my hair to look really nice I have to blowdry it and use the curling iron and hairspray. *facepalm* Oh well. Most days I don't care if it spikes up and flips out, and if I do want it to look nice it's short enough it shouldn't take too long to style. Photos later.

Phantom, my rabbit who hates everyone of the human persuasion, and has ever since I got her because she was massively undersocialized as a baby, likes my brother. Phantom likes my brother. WUT? I don't get it. Whenever anyone else (including me, and I've had her for five years and never done nothing but shower her with affection) picks her up or touches her, she panicks and hyperventilates, shakes and grunts and wheezes because she's so freaked out. Yesterday I got my brother to help me clip her nails and she was like :3 in his lap the entire time. ASDGH WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?! I JUST WANT HER TO LIKE ME! ;A;

Finally... my step-dad got a call a couple of days ago that one of his friends, Wally, had a heart attack. Aparently, he called 911, but when the paramedics got there, he was out of it. They had to put a breathing tube in, and when they did his heart stopped; it was stopped for fifteen minutes while the paramedics worked on him on the way to the hospital. They got his heart started up again, and he's in the ICU. As of yesterday they were waiting to see if he had brain damage... and today they did some scans, and he does have a lot of it from lack of oxygen when his heart was stopped. He hadn't woken up, and at this point if he doesn't improve by Monday they're planning to pull the plug.

It's really hard on Lee, since Wally is his close friend, and they've known each other most of their lives. They got together last weekend to play music together. Wally was even set to open a restaurant in two weeks, which is something he's been planning forever.

I'm worried about Lee, and so is Mom and my brother. I don't know how I really feel, it's weird because even I've known Wally for eighteen years. He's a really nice guy, and a good person, a good friend. He used to make me laugh when I was a kid. He doesn't deserve this... I hope he'll be okay, but realistically I know it's not likely. It's really sad...

The Cost of Popularity

This morning I watched Monsters vs Aliens and now I'm in the middle of watching The Bone Snatcher. MvA was cute in a Dreamworks kind of way. I really wanted to see it because Hugh Laurie did the voice of Dr. Cockroach for it. XD; And TBS is one that Dad recommended to me a while back and I just managed to find. It's a b-grade, with a bone-creature eating people and everything. Fun stuff.

My brother fixed his computer last night, he had to take it all apart and put it back together again but now it's running fine, which means he's no longer bored and I can have my PS2 back. lol. In a not-really-but-maybe-a-little related note, I want KH Final Mix, but sadly can't afford it right now. ;A;

Today I went up to the corner. My legs have gotten so bad that even just walking the few blocks there practically cripples me and I have to sit around outside the buildings or whatever until I can walk home again. -__-;

Anyway, I picked up a few Canada souvenirs to send to Jose, and some more beads and charms for making phone straps and earrings for Anime North. They also have those vacuum bags, you know the ones that you put stuff in and then vacuum all the air out to save space? So I grabbed a couple to try. If they work, they'll make packing for cons way easier from now on.

Then I went to the used bookstore to look at the manga. There wasn't any I was interested in, but I did get two other books, The Darkest Evening of the Year by Dean Koontz, and Vespers by Jeff Rovin. I'm in a horror kind of mood, I guess. While I was there, I was set upon by one of the store cats, Finley. There's two that live there (the other is Molly), and they're both sweethearts. But I'd forgotten I had some catnip in my coat pocket the other day that I got at the pet store for my cats, and Finley seemed intent on getting it. I was paying for my books and the next thing I knew he was on the counter with his head stuck in my coat pocket. XD; It was really cute.

MADDIE: I got more star beads for you today. I could only get six packs since that's all they had right now, but I'll pick up more later on when they get them in again. ♥

Aaaaand now for some RP rambling, so if you don't care to hear about it, you can stop reading from here on. :D

Holy hell, I posted a Roxas journal a couple days ago, and I swear half of TV just POUNCED on him. XD It was awesome, but I could barely keep up lol. Anyway, he made friends with Natsu, Lavi and Lenalee (who is one of his roommates). He may also be leaning toward being frienemies with Joshua. And he had a chat with Riku. That same day he talked with Sora since Naminé and Riku thought it was a good idea. And a couple days ago he made friends with Soul. Today he's talking to Reborn, who is another of his roommates. The only one he has yet to meet is Captain Sparrow.

I am amused.

Attachment

Today's photo is of the new shiny dangly thing that Mom bought for me on Thursday. 8D I love my shinies. I was very sad to have to pack most of them away in storage when I moved back here. I do have room for a few though, so~

lol my brother was up all night playing Kingdom Hearts II and when I got up today he ambushed me in the hallway and went "AXEL DIED! TT~~TT" And I was torn between giving him a patpat and snortsnickering at him. XD;; It was really quite funny. ♥

Also, finally managed to find mp3s of Sanctuary and the English version of Simple and Clean. Am pleased with that.

Cider, Grape, Apple, Cherry

Ugh, the Apo-Divalproex is really kicking my ass since Dr K upped my dosage. But then on top of that I haven't been feeling super great anyway. I'm really depressed still. >.<; Bad enough that Mom's noticed and asked me about it today. Normally no one can tell when I'm like this because I fake being fine. =_=; IDK, I've just been going downhill the last couple of months for no apparent reason.

Anyway, today my box of snacks from j-list came in. I ordered them a couple weeks ago. Wildberry pocky, different flavours of mochi candy, custard hi-chews and lotte lime-yuzu gum for Mom. The mochi candy is gone already. It was so yummy. :3 The grape was the best~! I might order some more in a couple weeks.

Oh, and my brother's PC completely died yesterday, so he spent all yesterday in a major snit. Now he's alright again, but he borrowed my PS2 to play Kingdom Hearts and FFXII, since he can't pass the time playing City of Heroes on the computer. I think he's probably planning to use his tax money to pay to have his PC fixed when it comes in.

Also, thank you Sethi and Kazzie~! I got PSP working again though, so it's all good. XD;; I was doing a poster for Esprit Studios to get printed off for my booth at AN, so with that done I'm good. I just have to actually get the posters printed. (Two so I can keep one in case the one at AN gets ripped up or whatever.)

Girly Squeeing

Okay lol, so I finally decided to actually watch Twilight. And despite that I swore I wouldn't, I squeed at it like a little girl a couple of times. *facepalm* I'm so embarrassed that I did it, too. I mean wtf self, wtf? xD;

Dad came up yesterday morning (I guess technically it's two days ago now, but whatever), and we exchanged Christmas gifts. He got me the new Valdemar novel, which gives me massive fangirl glee. He also got me a memory card for my camera, which is awesome, since it gives me a spare for when I go to cons and stuff. And a digital photo keychain, and also a copy of The Dark Knight.

My brother and I got him a couple of Star Wars bobbleheads, and the first season of Starblazers (Space Battleship Yamato in Japanese), which was SUPER expensive. Oo; My brother got the first two seasons of Supernatural.

He couldn't stay long, but it was nice to see him anyway. We only get to see Dad maybe three times a year (not counting when Mom and I are down by his place for Anime North in May), so any time he can make it up is good.

The Good And The Bad

Today was a really, really long day. With a ton and a half of driving. Plus, I was up super early this morning. ><;

Mom and I went up to Grandma's first thing this morning to take her to some apointments and to do some grocery shopping. We also brought her some cookies and stuff. She's doing much better right now than she was this time last month. She's feeling well enough that she's joking around some again, instead of being constantly subdued and depressed. It's a relief because I was really worried about her. Still am, but at least I know she's on the road to recovery.

After we were done doing everything with Grandma, Mom and I came home. The roads today weren't super great because of the snow and everything. There were quite a few cars in the ditches on the way up there and back as well.

Anyway, about an hour after we got home we had to go out again to go to the dentist, as I had an appointment at 3:30 and then she had one at 4:15, so we were there for over an hour and a half in total. Pretty boring, really. I had a cavity filled, so now my jaw hurts. -__-;

Once we were finished at the dentist we went to the health food place to buy fake peanut butter for me to bake with (as actual peanut butter, you know, KILLS ME), and then to the bulk food store for a whole bunch of misc. baking supplies, as well as rabbit food. Tonight I'm not doing any baking (screw it, I'm tired and need a break XD;) but tomorrow I'll start up again with the next three batches of lemon cheesecake cookies, and the (faux) peanut butter danties, and possibly the coconut macaroons.

Then on top of all that, I made soup for dinner. But that wasn't hard because I just made minestrone. XD; It mostly comes from cans (kidney beans, lentils, tomatoes, etc.) and only takes about 20 minutes to put together and cook, lol. We also had garlic bread. :3

Oh! And today I got a package in the mail, with some DVDs I bought for my brother and Mom for Christmas, as well as season 4 of House and the first two seasons of Dexter that I nabbed when Columbia House had them on sale for like $17 each. There's still one Columbia House package to go with the stuff that Mom ordered through my account, and three things I got off ebay (a video game for my brother, two bobbleheads for my Dad, and my Haruhi figure.)

I also need money for buying the last of what I want to pick up for Mom, and for Dad, and for shipping freaking packages, but I have NONE DAMMIT. NONE. I'm so pissed off, all my packages are going to be late, and so is most of Dad's present, and probably half of Mom's as well, and I can't do anything about it until my freaking credit card comes in. ><;;

So if you're getting a package from me for Christmas, I'm really sorry but it's going to be late. D:

Rats And Cats And Elephants

I got a rat today. X3 My brother and I went out to Walmart and while we were out there I got some rabbit food at the pet store so I had a look at the rats while I was there. Thay had three females (one black hooded, two cream hooded) and one male who was dark brown/black hooded. The girls were all completely spun and wouldn't let me handle them without spazzing, but the boy was so calm and nice. So I got him. ♥

I haven't named him yet, but I'm thinking about calling him Tasuku. Tasuku is the name of my/[info]cassandracsenta's OC rat Furuba character. Before, one of my rats was called Yuki, so I kind of like the idea of naming the new one after a Jyuunishi, even if he's an OC. My brother wants me to call him Vinny for some reason. .__.;

Anyway~ he's adorable and I'll take photos when I find my camera. It's still packed away somewhere. XD;

Online And Lovin' It

Health: Still sick. Need more sinus meds. Was extremely bad yesterday. I had a high fever most of the day. Today it's intermittent, but more not-feverish than feverish. So that's a step in the right direction.

Halloween: Meh. We bought two boxes of little chocolate bars, and then had a total of twelve kids come by. Pfft. >>; So we have 183 bars left over. XD;; I didn't dress up, but I almost used it as an excuse to flounce around the house in my Suigintou cosplay for the night. If I wasn't so tired and sick I would have done it. Too bad, but oh well.

Internet: After Mom got home from work yesterday she, my brother and I went out to the bank and then to Future Shop so I could get my PC set up for wireless. I also got an optical mouse while I was there. When we got back, we had dinner and then I got Trunks to help set it up... and the optical mouse killed my disc drive for some reason. ><;;

So I had to take the whole tower downstairs to hook it directly to the Internet there so that I could download the software I needed for the wireless to work directly from the website (as with no disc drive I had no way to read the software cd.) Everything seems to be working alright now, though the Net died once and I had to spaz at my brother to fix it because I'm a noob at wireless. ^^;

I'm taking the mouse that fucked up my disc drive in on Tuesday and getting my money back. I'll have to take the PC in to have the drive fixed eventually, which pisses me off. But for now I can use the computer without it. *sigh*

Unpacking: Still working on it. So much unpacking to do. But I've got all the important things set up, including my TV/VCR and DVD Player (also, my PS2/Game Cube), so the rest can be done over the next week or two. I'll take photos to show my downgrade to a single bedroom once I find my camera.

Success And Failure

Good news: MOVING FINISHED. It took three days, but I am officially done with that place! HAH. Still unpacking, obviously. The cats are much more comfy here now, though Tri is still very jumpy. He'll settle in though. Also, today I actually had the dog and Neko in my lap at the same time, which is a miracle, as Possum is afraid of other animals. >>;

Good news 2: My brother sent me a link to episode one of Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. I am intrigued.

Good news 3: ;>.> <.<; I'm getting a rat again. Possibly tomorrow, but probably next week.

Neutral news: INTERNET TOMORROW. HOPEFULLY. I have to buy a card thing for my PC, and then my brother says if he can he'll install it for me. I'm actually going to be piggybacking on Mom's router. Anyway, if Trunks can't install it, I'll have to take it to the corner, in which case no 'Net until Monday at the earliest. So hopefully he can.

Bad news: CRAMPS. I HAET YOU REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM. D<

Bad News 2: Sinus infection. -__-;; As soon as it gets cold my immune system officially goes to florida or something. Not that it's super active normally anyway. But still. My head is throbbing, my sinuses hurt and I've used up a whole box of kleenex just today. ><; If it doesn't go away soon though, I have an appointment with the doctor in three weeks anyway.

And now I'm off to medicate myself to the eyeballs and try to actually get a decent night's sleep. Whoo.

So. Exhausted.

...I didn't sleep at all last night. ><; Or, I did, but only for like three hours.

When I put the cats in the basement for the night, they spent about two hours straight wailing for me so finally I decided I'd just sleep downstairs with them for the first night until they were settled in a bit more. But then all three of them wouldn't leave me alone to sleep, so finally around 3 I went upstairs and left the basement door open so they could join me and explore a bit while everyone else was asleep.

Unfortunately, moving from the basement upstairs woke me up completely, so then I spent another three hours working on unpacking and watching Vipers on the computer. Finally around 6 I managed to get to sleep, and then had to get up at 9:30 to go back to the house and do more moving. DX

It was just me and Mom today so we didn't get it all done, but we got quite a bit finished, and can probably finish the rest tomorrow night. We also emptied out the fridge of all my perishables and brought them over here. Tomorrow there are some cupboards to move, a bar fridge, the microwave and stand, and some carpets. Then I have to sweep and mop and gather my cleaning stuff to bring back here, and we'll be done.

Anyway, after two trips to storage today, we came back and puttered around for an hour until it was time to pick up Sarah for groceries. lol, there's not much we needed to pick up because all my food came over here with me, but there were things like milk and pepsi (and coke for me, since I don't drink pepsi :P), and Halloween candy. Plus I needed to get a new lamp, zip ties, an extension cord and some sinus decongestants. Bah.

Aaaaand today the cats seem much more comfortable, especially in the basement. They haven't cried all day, and earlier I was downstairs with Mom and Lee and there was a cat in each lap, perfectly happy. I'm glad, I was really worried how they would be for the first bit here.

Still not Internet on my own PC. Using Mom's for email and aim a bit, and using mine for music and movies. Getting a wireless router on Friday. CAN'T WAIT FOR IT OMG. >.<; Now I also have to hook up the TV and everything still, but other than that I'm good electronics-wise. I still have a lot of books and my anime to put away, but I think most of my movies are out, and all my manga is. I also have to organise and pack all my craft supplies away, but I can't really do that until everything else is done. :P

Now I'm attempting to chat with Kiin, whilst my brother sits three feet away playing D&D with his friends. UGH I WANT INTERNET ON MY OWN PC NOW DAMMIT.

Moving: ...75% Complete...

Well, in three hours with the movers we got about 75% of my stuff moved. Everything that was coming to Mom's with me got moved, plus the futon and the treadmill, and the big set of shelves that were going into storage.

There's still some boxes and chairs and a coffee table that need to go to the storage place too, but we could only afford three hours worth of movers. >__>; So tomorrow Mom, Trunks and I have to move the rest, but it's all light and easy stuff so it's fine.

Now I've got all my furnature organised in my room, and my computer set up (even though it won't be Internet connected until Friday night). My TV/VCR/DVD player are all set up, but need to be connected. And most of my movies that I brought with me and my manga, and my clothes are organised as well. I still have a ton of stuff to move up from the basement and organise, but that'll take some time.

The rabbits are all fine and pretty much settled in, but I still need to buy some zip ties and put together the playpen area for them later this week. The cats are... upset. ^^; Tri spent seven hours (literally) hiding under the couch in the basement, and now he's out but cries every time I'm out of sight. Neko and Loki didn't hide for quite that long, lol, but now they're both following me around like they think I'm going to vanish any second. They're all going to be very upset with me when I put them in the basement for the night and close the door. >>;;

Anyway, tonight Mom and Trunks (Lee was feeling sick) and I went out to East Side Marios for dinner (I got calimari~), and then later on when we got home we watched House. Now I'm watching some Supernatural on DVD with Trunks, and randomly creating a D&D character with his character sheets, just for the hell of it. XD;; She's a druid, with a (male) dire rat animal companion, but neither of them have names yet.

I will likely never play her, but may use her in a story some time. Plus, she was fun to create. ♥

NOW. KIIN. IMMA BE ON IN A FEW MINUTES, BUT IF YOU'RE NOT THERE I HAVE TO GO WORK ON MY ROOM SOME MORE. >.<; So if I miss you, I'm sorry and I'll catch you again tomorrow, even if it's just for a few minutes! *luff* <33

Countdown

Hoooookay...

I think I'm pretty much ready for tomorrow. I need to wipe down the mini-fridge and microwave before they go into storage, and tomorrow right before it gets moved we have to empty out the freezer into boxes. And I need to clean out the litter boxes for transit, but that has to be a last-minute thing, obviously. Also, before I go to bed tonight I need to unplug my TV/VCR/etc., and tomorrow I need to pack up my computer. All small things that I can't really be done until right before I'm leaving this place, with the exception of the fridge and microwave.

I'm going to do a dance of joy when this is over with tomorrow night. Probably a feeble one, with lots of pained noises, but one all the same.

I just made minestrone soup for dinner (it was a Soupworks package that I found when I was cleaning out the cupboards, all I had to do was add water and simmer for 15 minutes) and ate it out of the pot as all my dishes are officially packed away now. lol. It was yummy. I love minestrone.

Anyway. My brother called today to tell me that he's been raiding the movies that are already over there. Last time I was over, I had to put up two sets of shelves and empty some boxes onto them so that I could bring them home with me for more packing, so a bunch of my DVDs were already available. I told him he could watch them if he wanted (he's super good about treating my DVDs well when he borrows them), but he wanted to let me know anyway, in case they were in the wrong order or something when I got there. I laughed because they were in NO order, I just stuck them on the shelves and planned to organise them later.

Ugh, unpacking is going to suck too, but at least there isn't a time crunch really. I can just do it at my own pace. Though I'll probably get it all done quickly because empty shelves and walls bother my bi-polar and my OCD tendencies. I'm uncomfortable without clutter. It drives Mom crazy. >>;

Rambling For The Sake Of The Same

Taken from Maddie~ )

Now. OMG. I actually got a decent night's sleep last night. Granted, only because Mom gave me some codene for my back and shoulder, but still. Codene is lovely, did I mention that? ♥

I have to bring more boxes up from the garage tonight, preferrably before it gets dark. But my back does still hurt some and I know as soon as I start trying to carry them up the stairs I'm going to regret it. >>; Still, it needs to be done. Le sigh.

At least I'm mostly done packing now, it's just the things I have here that I need to throw into a box on the day I'm leaving (like my clothes, my meds, my alarm clock, etc.), and kitchen. I still have to pack up all my dishes and appliances, and all the food in the cupboards. Not looking forward to that.

Oh, also, depending on how it goes when I actually move on the 28th, I may be pretty much offline until at least the 31st, or the 1st of November. When I get to Mom's place, the only way I can have Internet on my PC is if I buy a router and hook into the house network, so until I can get out/have the money for one, I'll have to do without, or just borrow Mom's PC for checking email and etc. D: Sucks, but I don't really have a choice. And I mean, at least no Internet would make me focus on organising and unpacking there? xD;;

Yesterday I went over to Mom's to cook for them and after we'd had dinner I played my brother's game cube a bit... turns out I'm fail at Symphonia the same I'm fail at every other video game. XD; But that's okay. I twas still fun, even if Colette spent 90% of the time dead. >>; The battle system for that game is really different from what I'm used to, and so is the controller. I had to keep pausing to look for the right buttons. >.<; But it was fun, so I'm still looking forward to getting my own copy. ♥

Trunks drives me nuts though, every time I play a game, he's like "hey, look, do you want me to show you the cheats/easy way to do it?" and I have to tell him no. I may fail epically at video games, but I still enjoy doing it myself and figuring things out on my own. Whereas he gets frustrated easily, and is constantly online looking for cheats and walkthroughs. CONSTANTLY. Two different ways of doing it I guess. ^^;

Day One, Almost Done

I cracked my head last night, on the headboard of the bed. So hard that I don't know if I fell back asleep after that, or blacked out. .__.;

Today has thusfar been spent out running around; Mom and I went to the petstore to look at rabbit cages, since the NIC cage isn't going to fit at Mom's. I thought I would have to split the girls up again, but I actually found a extra large My First Home cage that should be alright, so long as I make sure to  let them out to play every day. It's much smaller than their old cage, but for now it will have to go. I feel bad about it, but I'm not getting rid of the NIC supplies, so that when I have my own place I can just put it back together.

Pauper, Phoenix and Pantom are currently WTFing, but they'll get over it. )

Then we went to Walmart, where I got a ton of packing tape and tissue paper for wrapping things that I don't want to wrap in newspaper. After that, we went back to Mom's place so that she could talk to Lee about some things, and then we went to look at storage units. We found one that was great, so we put a downpayment on it; the woman was even nice enough to give us the rest of October for free so that we can start moving all my things in there gradually over the next month. I need to pack in a way that anything I don't need will be put into storage. So most of my books and half my movies are going to be there, along with my encyclopedias, some of my anime, and a ton of furniture.

...then Zellers, for a lock for the storage unit, then back home. I put the new cage together and transferred the girls over to it so that I can take the NIC cage down and pack it away tonight (or possibly tomorrow). SO BUSY.

Also, if my brother calls to gloat at me about having Tales of Symphonia one more time, I may have to maim him. :D

Listed Because I Feel Like It :P

1) Yesterday Dad came up in the morning to pick up his cell phone (I borrowed it for Otakon and owe him like $150 in charges on it because of long distance and roaming ><;;) and drop off some movies for me to borrow and my brother's birthday gift. His birthday is on the 13th of October, but Dad doesn't have another long weekend between now and then, so... *shrug* He also brought up more boxes for me, since I'll be moving at some point in the next four months or so, most likely. No idea where I'll be going. Probably moving back in with Mom, since I have nowhere else at this point.

2) MOVIES. I CAN HAS THEM. Dad brought me Rogue, Creature, Raptor IslandThe Ruins (which I'd just downloaded and watched like two days before lol) and Loch Ness Terror. ♥ Rogue is about a giant rogue crocodile in Australia (I luff giant croc movies~ xD;), Creature is based on a book by Peter Benchly, and is about a half-man-half-shark monster. Raptor Island is about... raptors. On an island. .__.; And then Loch Ness Terror is about nessie. In lake superior. 8D YAY.

Also, I've watched Black Water (also about a rogue crocodile XD;), The Dark Knight, Doomsday, Shutter, The Happening, Hancock, Get Smart, Hellboy 2, Wall-E, The Ruins and Mirrors recently. ^__^ So much fun! HEHE. I already talked about some of them a couple days ago, but here's what I thought of the others;

-> The Dark Knight: >__>;; Okay, so um. I don't know if I want to actually type this. :D;; Eheh. ^^; So, my basic thoughts on it are; great movie! ...but not as spectacularly awesome as everyone else thinks it is. >>;;; *dodges rocks and tomatoes* SORRY. SORRY!
-> Doomsday: Was uh... interesting. @__@;; Like, it was every genre of movie crammed into one package. Crazy and lol-worthy. Also, full of FAIL!military. Though it did have the best extended car chase scene I've ever seen in it. XD;
-> Shutter: Creepy! 8D It's based on a Korean movie, I believe, like an American remake of it. Joshua Jackson = LUFF.
-> The Happening: I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I'm a huge M. Night Shayamalan fan. ^^;; *geek* This one was interesting, different, and weirdly... non-supernatural, considering his other films.
-> Get Smart: FTW. X33 I had so much fun with this one~! It reminded me of watching the old TV show reruns at my Grandparents house when I was a kid. It was my favourite (along with Mork and Mindy lol), and the casting was perfect. ♥♥
-> Hellboy 2: I actually had more fun with this one than with TDK. ^.^; The visual effects were excellent. I always am amazed at Ron Pearlman's ability to do ANYTHING in his makeup lol.
-> Wall-E: WAS SO FREAKING CUTE! >w< ADORABLE! I LOVE DISNEY MOVIES! (Though I do miss their 2-D stuff, despite my love of the Pixar films.)
-> Mirrors: O___o; Was freaky. I am impressed with the creativity of the writers though. Some very unique stuff in that movie. And awesomely untypical deaths. The bathroom one made me go HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT though, and I was watching it with the volume off because Pronnie warned me ahead of time. xD;;
-> Black Water:
I am a sucker for a good killer crocodile movie. 8D This one was more realistic than most, as the croc in question wasn't even big enough to swallow a person whole. GASP. lol.

Still to go are Iron ManThe Incredible Hulk, and The X-Files 2.

3) THEY ARE FINALLY FIXING THE SEWER PIPES. AFTER TWO YEARS, AND IMMEDIATELY BEFORE I'M MOVING. BASTARDS.

4) ...last week, I had a discussion with my brother about some things that have gone on in his life recently. I love that he trusts me enough to talk to me about things he won't talk about with anyone else. At the same time, some of the things I'm finding out... I don't know. I want to blog about what he told me, maybe in the hopes that it'll help me work it out, but I'm having such a hard time wrapping my head around it. Maybe in a few days I can... hmm...

5) The adorable Marly/Kadaj stuff is slowly giving way to angst tonight. XD;; Kiin and I had planned some angst for a couple weeks from now, but it seems to be coming out sooner than we originally intended. Kadaj is all insecure and distraught because Mar seems to be trying to convince him not to stick with him if it comes down to it, because the social worker the court assigned is being nosy and poking around about Kadaj's boyfriend.. He's terrified right now at what might happen. ;__;

EDIT:: DDDDD: Mar just broke up with him! (Well, sort of.)

Empathy

I was supposed to be at home tonight, but instead I'm staying here to watch movies with my brother. xD; We already watched Lake Placid 2 (which was baaaad omg) and now we're watching DOOM just for the gratuitous violence. Haha.

Plus, Trunks has had a bad few weeks with some of his friends and his girlfriend and things kind of went KABOOM a couple days ago, so I'm worried about him, and he needs someone to talk to. He already spent about three hours this afternoon telling me things he hasn't told anyone else. It's important that he talk about it, so I'm here to be an ear for him.

Plus, I brought over a lot of random violent movies to distract him. 8D

Other than that, today I am in paaaain. My ovaries are trying to kill me again. D: Stupid things. So I went out to Walmart and picked up more painkillers and muscle relaxants and have taken massive ammounts of both so that I can do more than just lie on my side in the fetal position. =.=;; I might go to bed soon though, the pills are making me kind of sleepy.

Then tomorrow, I said I'd help Trunks with his resume, and I also have a cake to bake (boston cream!), a pie to bake (raspberry-blueberry!), and dishes to do.

EDIT: Ah, Trunks just asked me to stay a couple more nights. I'm really worried about him right now and he's having a hard time and keeps crying over nothing, so I think I probably will. I have nothing really at home right now anyway, so I can call Sarah and get her to feed the cats and the rabbits for me.

Family Outing

So today my brother randomly took Mom, Lee and I to Medieval Times in Toronto. :D

On the way home from AN last month Mom mentioned it to me, apparently he just decided he wanted us all to go. Haha. And he paid for us all too. O__O; It was so expensive! But my brother has these weird, random generous moments sometimes, lol. It was supposed to be a surprise so I pretended I didn't know where we were going until he told me, since he seemed so excited about it. ^^;

Anyway, they picked me up around 4:30 and we got to the place about 6-ish, then stood in line for 20 minutes or so before we got inside. The show didn't start until 7:30, so we looked through the giftshop and the medieval torture museum. I wanted this cup that's shaped like a horse, but you could only get it if you bought a drink, so Mom got a Sprite or whatever so I could have the cup when she was done. XD;

Then I found a pendant I really liked, and my brother bought it for me, and then afterward I found out it cost $70 and somewhat flipped out. ><; I mean, I appreciate it and all, but! BUT! *pets it* It's a half-heart with a moon, three blue stones, a flying owl and some feathers. I luff it. But I feel guilty. -w-;; I'll have to get him something spectacular for Christmas this year. >>;

The box for my pendant says "The swirling stars of first light and the frozen lands before history gave birth to ancient mysteries, mythical creatures and legendary beasts. Their eternal truth finds form in FIRE AND ICE. OWL: Bird of Prey, sacred to the night, glides through the Otherworld, with supernatural, all-seeing eyes. FOR WISDOM AND PSYCHIC ABILITY."

The show itself was fun. I took a bunch of pictures, but the lighting wasn't great so I have to take them to Mom's and mess around with them on her PC to fix that, since she has some awesome photo editing programs. I'll probably post them on Monday night, if I can get them all fixed up by them.

We were cheering for the Red Knight, but he didn't win the tournament. D: The Black-And-White Knight won technically, but then he was backstabbed by the King's right-hand-man, and after that the Blue Knight and his squires took that guy on and won, so they declared the Blue Knight the overall winner. *shrug*

There were horsemanship and falconry displays, games and jousting, and hand-to-hand combat. Fun stuff. Like I said, photos later. None of the birds though, they asked us not to take pics then so we wouldn't freak them out. Also none of the wizard, because the lighting with him was freaky and too dark for me to get anything. .__.;

The food was alright. I had the vegitarian meal because the other meal was like... chicken, pork, and a potato. >>; The vegitarian meal was a stuffed portobello mushroom, a grilled vegetable kabob, and some pita bread, as well as the soup and garlic bread that everyone got as well. HAHA, no utensils was interesting. Not even a spoon for the soup. The bowl had a handle. XD;;

No Sleepin'

I didn't sleep all night. 8D;

INSOMNIA + MAMMOTH DOCUMENTARIES = WHEE. :3

I also watched Slither. And for about three hours my TV was on as bg noise while I mucked around on the PC, and it turned out most of that time it was on a channel playing softcore porn shows. XDD;; That gives you an idea how much of a space case I can be, as I totally didn't even notice. And then when I did notice, couldn't be bothered going over to change the channel for about another 20 minutes. I was kind of like 'meh, porn makes bg noise too'. xD;; *fail*

...now I'm absolutely starving, which is a good indicator that I'm pushing exhausted. My stomach always speaks up when I haven't slept in a while, no matter when the last time I've eaten was. I don't really get it, but whatever.

Oh, and apparently my brother is coming home from the States tonight. I forgot until Mom mentioned it yesterday. Whoops.

...no reason for this icon, it just amuses me and I haven't used it yet. :D
