Still doing fine with Z, but the smaller keyboard on the laptop is so completely different it's taking a lot of getting used to. Also, I don't like the touch pad, but then I never have liked them. Which is why I have a mouse to plug into Z when I'm at home, though when I'm out and about with him I guess I'll just deal with the touch pad. Like now at Mom's for instance. :D

DLed all my photos from my camera today (now I need to charge it) so that I can start adding things to my Esprit Studios etsy account. Then I logged in and started to do just that... only to be told by etsy that my photos are too big. ~_~; But screw it, I'll deal with resizing them when I get home and have the mouse.

Lately I've been working on things to sell at the bazaar Grandma got me a table at. Mostly jams and jellies right now, but also a few more bits of jewelery and I'm doing two Christmas ponies to take with me to sell and as examples, since it's a Christmas bazaar and all that.

Anyway, so far I've made crab apple jelly, lemon-honey jelly, strawberry-rhubarb jam, rhubarb jam, almond-brown-sugar applesauce, pumpkin sauce, and watermelon jelly. As usual I'm having trouble getting things to set, but whatever.

After the bazaar anything that hasn't sold will be going up at my House of Yum etsy account, along with various cookies and candies. Please, once I get the shop up, anyone who's had my jams/jellies/cookies/misc baking and etc. please spread the word. Between Esprit Studios and House of Yum I'm trying to get myself set up to make enough extra cash each month to keep the bills paid. It doesn't have to be much, about $200 would cover that. But any good word of mouth would be helpful and appreciated. <3

I took Loki to the vet a couple weeks ago because of his allergies again. This time he had been chewing on his feet, and itching at his chest and abdomen until all the hair was coming off, as well as scratching his face up still. -_-;

Same thing is usual, and three years of trying to find a treatment that, you know, WORKS. But this time we got to the vet and saw a new woman (Dr Wilson, I think?) and she actually suggested some things that none of the others had mentioned before even in all the times I'd had him in there (and all the money I've spent.)

She thinks there's a possibility that it could be an immune disorder rather than allergies, which would require different treatment, obviously. But while we're seeing about applying for funding to get the tests done (because I can't afford it on my own), she did suggest an allergy med that we could pick up from the pharmacy.

So we got a bottle of these pills, and he's been taking a half pill twice a day for just over two weeks now... and it's working fucking MIRACLES! His face is 90% healed up and he hasn't been itching at his chest and stomach almost at all. If this keeps up, we might have actually got it figured out finally. And the kicker is, the pills cost $10 a bottle, which covers three months worth of pills for Loki. All that money spent and I could have just gone to the pharmacy and spent $10 instead. Man.

But still, glad to see him feeling so much better. :)

Right now I'm at Mom's to do laundry and print off some things since my own printer is pretty much dead. I'm also watching my brother play Twilight Princess. Ahh, Zelda, ILU. <3

Been a month since I posted last. Mostly that's because of my stupid computer. It crashed about a week into October and took a week to have fixed. Then when I brought it home from that, I plugged it in and it immediately crashed again during bootup. -__-;; So I took it back in again. Two more days and it was fixed a second time. I plugged it back in... and this time my monitor died. >__<;;

Picked up a cheap monitor from goodwill to do until I could get a decent one. Brought that home. Plugged everything in. MOUSE DIED ASDGH;KL. Worked a little with a half-working mouse. Then, last night, COMPUTER CRASHED YET AGAIN. TT~~TT

Welcome to my nightmare the last month. -_-;; Ugh. Anyway, like $500 later and the PC was back in the shop this afternoon. Then Mom and I were at Walmart (getting business cards for me to print up and a new mouse) and happened to see that they had mini-notebooks on sale for like $340 + tax. So, already $500 of repairs and replacements later, I made the decision to scrap the old desktop and just get a new laptop.

EEEE MY FIRST LAPTOP~ AND IT'S SO TINY AND BLUE AND ADORABLE~~ <333 ...I don't know how to do hearts on this keyboard. >>;

So the guys at the repair shop are going to just copy my documents folder onto discs and I'm getting rid of the desktop all together. Teeny laptop ilu! :3

More update tomorrow or whatever once I've finished setting up everything on Zephyr (my old PC was called Tempest, I name them after grouchy winds for a reason lmao) and got some sleep because I am ever ever so exhausted today for some reason. Even my laptop glee can't make me stop yawning. :P

EDIT: Also, the only reason I could afford it was because Mom fronted me the money. I'm so broke right now I have bill collectors on my ass for the first time in my life, and it makes me a sad panda. ;-;

A semi-decent update for those of you on my flist that are wondering how I'm doing aside from ZOMG eel creatures and OMG lampwork heart pendants.

Mom's surgery is coming up on the 25th, and it really kind of snuck up on me. The whole family is really stressed and worried right now, and Mom is making herself sick with being afraid that when they go in to do the hysterectomy they'll find something more than the tests have shown so far. I know we should all be trying to keep an optimistic outlook, but it's proving to be hard, especially since Grandpa just died of cancer three years ago. The whole thing is keeping me up at night a lot, and I won't feel any better about it until after the operation when the surgeon comes and tells us everything is fine.

I moved a couple weeks ago as well; to a little apartment downtown. It's not much (I'll post pictures once it's more organized), and pretty small, but it's mine, and I love that about it. Besides which, for one person (and cats/rabbits), it's a fine size. The only problem is that I have too much stuff. >>; It's been a nightmare trying to figure out how to fit everything in, and that's even after two vanloads of stuff having been taken to the goodwill.

When I first was moving in, the place was a mess. The kitchen still needs to have a really good cleaning with bleach, but other than that it's tidy enough I can put up with it until everything's unpacked and settled. The bathroom was DISGUSTING. I should have taken some photos to show you the before and after. Grandma actually came down on the day I moved, and rather than helping with the move itself, just locked herself up in the bathroom and scrubbed the shit out of it for HOURS. It's still terribly stained, but not actually dirty anymore. I don't think the previous tenants cleaned the bathroom once in the entire time they lived here. -__-;; Ugh.

Right as I'm typing this, the girly bunnies are in the kitchen having playtime. Unfortunately, until I got the kitchen organized enough that they couldn't get into things they shouldn't, they couldn't have time out to exercise-- it's been about three weeks since they were last out of their cage. I feel guilty, but there wasn't much I could do, since the kitchen is the only place here I can let them out at all. Now I can though, so we can get back into the regular routine of daily romps.

In November, I've got a table to sell things at the Christmas bazaar in Bracebridge. So I'm selling some jewelry there, as well as some jams and jellies. Grandma brought me six freaking baskets of crab apples when she came down, so I'll have TONS of crab apple jelly. (If anyone wants some, let me know and I'll set aside a jar of it for you.) It'll be the first time I've actually sold something I've cooked/baked so I'm really kind of nervous about it. Hopefully it'll go well.

Also, some time in the next couple days I'll be posting a massive sales post; due to space issues and the fact that I'm in desperate need of money, I've decided to sell off most of my extensive Sailormoon collection. I have a few really rare items, so fingers crossed. Also, if you know anyone who might like to commission a pony or something from me, please point them in my direction.



...because of everything that's been going on, I haven't been online much. Most of my time has been designated to doctor's visits and the move/unpacking. Honestly, I'm starting to get really weary of it, and I'm feeling... downtrodden. Just sad and gloomy. I miss being on AIM and talking to people, and blogging about nothing. But until the end of the month I just won't have the time.

Mom and Lee stole my cat. Literally. =/

Tanya dropped Chasca off this morning, and then this afternoon when Mom and Lee were over Lee saw her and FELL IN LOVE. Now, he used to claim not to be a cat person. But the way he fawned all over this kitten was hilarious.

Anyway, turns out Lee has been talking about her ever since, and I was just on the phone with Mom and we talked about it... and they're going to take her. It's kind of funny actually. XD;; They'll probably name her something other than Chasca, and since I've only had her here for about 12 hours she doesn't know the name anyway. Apparently Tanya used to call her Tubby because when she was born she had a fat butt. xD;

It might seem strange that I'd be so willing to give her away this fast, but honestly, the look on Lee's face when he was petting her? He probably wants her more than I do, which is saying something. And I know for a fact they'll take excellent care of her and spoil her rotten. Plus I'll be able to see her whenever I want anyway. ♥

Haha, I'll have had a cat named Chasca for about 24 hours!

Maybe I'll look for another kitten at the shelter once I'm done unpacking and settling everything around here. ♥

Hokay... entry after a freaking month. Life ate me up and spat me out and I'm still completely stressed out and messed up about a lot of things. Suddenly everything just exploded. I guess when it rains it pours, right? Anyway.

1) Otakon: I'm hoping to still do a more in-depth entry about Otakon, but for now here's the brief version; Air Canada sucks, the hotel we were in has the most gorgeous lobby ever (me and Pronnie did an epic photo shoot there~ ♥), meeting everyone I hadn't met before was AWESOME, and seeing Maddie, Chloe and Michelle again was as well because I MISSED THEM TERRIBLY. IN FACT, I MISS EVERYONE TERRIBLY AGAIN. ;A;

The first day we went to the aquarium, and I gave myself heatstroke. That night we did pre-reg. The next day was the first day of the con itself and I was so sick from the day before that I pretty much didn't do anything but lie around and feel miserable all day, until around 1am when Maddie finally forced me up and dragged me out for foodz. (A good thing, really. Thank you Maddie. ♥) Saturday I did BOYS!Riku cosplay and totally forgot to take pics in it. *facepalm* Sunday was Dealer's Room day and I spent way too fucking much money. YAY ANYWAY.

There was some drama/wank over the course of the weekend, but that's all I have to say on the topic.

Like I said, more detailed post to come, probably tomorrow or the next day. Also I'll post some of my fav photos from the trip then, but for now there are a few in my DevART if anyone is just dying to see them.

2) Dayton: After Otakon was a 12 hour bus ride to Dayton. -.-; At least the bus wasn't crowded, so we all got to stretch out and be (semi) comfy. I stabbed my own foot on the ice pick on my cane though. *facepalm* Slept on the couch at Maddie and Chloe's place every night except one (thank you guys! ILU!) and me and Steph stole their kitchen a couple times to bake and cook. :3 Chloe made us yummy salmon sammiches and okanomiyaki (um, I think that's how it's spelled? XD;;) that was FABULOUS too.

Went to the Dayton Celtic Festival while Steph and Mari were visiting Rei in Detroit, and also to the Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit in Cincinnati with Chloe's Mom, which was so much fun YOU HAVE NO IDEA. I GEEKED OUT SO HARD CORE OVER THE ANIMATRONICS. >w< When Steph and Mari came back we went to Jungle Jim's too, which was awesome. And one day we all went out and did cosplay at the mall (Chloe had to work though D:) where I cosplayed Elena from FFVII, and BOYS!Riku so I could take some pics.

More in-depth on all that in the next post too, I swear.

3) Mom: Okay, after finding out that Mom had cancer I obviously freaked out a lot. Not to mention stressed myself out to the point of having painful stomach cramps and acid reflux so bad I couldn't lay down every night the last three weeks. But Mom went for her MRI a couple weeks ago and when the results came back, it turned out the specialist was right and it's just beginning stage cervical cancer.

So basically, she's having surgery (a radical hysterectomy) and that should cover it. She shouldn't need chemo or radiation therapy or anything afterward. The operation is scheduled for the 15th of next month, and then she needs 6 weeks off to recuperate afterward.

Obviously, I'm still worried and stressed about it. It's a massive operation; they're removing all of her womb, her fallopian tubes and ovaries, some lymph nodes, all of her cervix and a portion of her vagina. I know it's done routinely and it's nothing to really be worrying too much over, but I can't help it. I won't feel any better until the 15th once the operation is over and she's awake and everything's okay.

4) My Surgery: Went for the mandatory class last week. It was three hours long, and seriously, I didn't learn anything I didn't already know. Oh well. I have two more appointments before I can have the operation at the beginning of the new year, one the first week of September, and then one in October at some point. The one in October was originally supposed to be on the 17th of September, but got pushed back because of Mom's surgery on the 15th; hers is WAY more important than mine.

5) Moving: ASDGH I HAVE AN APARTMENT!! X3!! SO EXCITED! It's downtown, and one bedroom (though I'm not using it the typical way) and it has a kitchen and a bathroom and dsnhaguidfh I don't have to share with anyone but my cats and rabbits! X3 GAH, but I only found out less than a week ago and I'm moving in the first week of September so I'm kind of scrambling to send in the paperwork to ODSP and get everything squared away and all my stuff packed. Still. ♥♥♥

Steph and Mari: Still working on packages for you guys, but they've had to be put off a little bit because of the move. Expect them in October some time, probably. ♥

Today was awesome and OMG DINOSAURS. At some point when I get home (on Friday) I'll make an actual update and talk about all the stuff from Otakon and Dayton/etc. but for now I don't want to hog Momo too much. And besides that, it's just about 3:30 am and we're getting up tomorrow to go downtown and take Turk photos and pics of me in my BOYS!Riku cosplay.

Right. Dinosaurs in Cincinnati were awesome. And we had Chinese food for dinner and it was awesome too. I crossed frog's legs, kimchi and tiramisu off my life's To Do list as well. That's four foods I've always wanted to try in two days! I'm on a roll! Plus if we go to Jungle Jim's this week Chloe promised to help me find pork buns. X3

Apparently my cats have been little buggers while I've been gone. Mom says Tri has peed on my bed and Loki has decided that litter boxes are for peeing in front of and not inside. She's doing her best but I'll have to straighten them out when I get home. -.-; At least Neko and the rabbits are behaving themselves. Sora too.

Oh, and as a funny side note, one of Maddie's friends asked her yesterday if she and Chloe had had a threesome with me. xD; A couple nights ago I was feeding Maddie ice cream while we were reading stuff on the laptop, and apparently that means we must be sleeping together. XD;;

Ah! And before I forget, the ghost kitty here, Sapphire, likes me! :3 Last year he jingled my suitcases and I saw him for just a split second. This time he jingled something one night, and then tonight I felt a cat jump up onto the bed next to me (those of you who have cats at home know the feeling when a cat hops up beside you) but when I turned to pet it, there was nothing there and Saiga and Kaikei were downstairs. Then later when I was downstairs watching Ghost Hunters with Maddie and Chloe I felt whiskers rub against my leg, but again, Saiga and Kaikei were nowhere near. I'm strangely pleased that Sapphire seems to approve of me. <3

Finally found gloves for my Org13 outfit! ...at a lingerie/fetish store! 8D;; I went in with Mom. So lame. *facepalm* But the lady was really nice and asked what kind of costume I needed them for and we chatted about cons and cosplay for a bit, all the while surrounded by PVC bondage gear and inappropriate stuffed animals that I kind of wanted to buy because LOL fluffy pink stuffed bunny with a giant penis wtf. XD;;

Anyway, yay! Eventually I want a better pair of gloves, but for now the ones I got today are more than sufficient. ♥

Yeah I fail at like... everything online lately. I've been having a lot of trouble irl with various things, which I may or may not get into in this entry. Anyway, list format today for the sake of my sanity because I have a fuckton of stuff to talk about since it's been so long since I last wrote anything. xD;

1) ANIME NORTH. Okay, basically I spent the whole weekend at my table trying to sell jewelry and pony commissions (since I wasn't allowed to actually sell the ponies there). I sold a bit, and got two commissions (Van from Escaflowne and Reno from FFVII. XD), but the way Artist Alley and Crafter's Corner was organized this year was RETARDED, and the Corner was way the hell out of the way so we got practically no traffic. SO ANNOYING. Anyway, all that work and spending that much time at the table, and I basically broke even for the cost of the con registration, the table, and the parts that went into the jewelry. So much for making money for Otakon. -__-;

Anyway, that aside, I got to see Mel and Zexy again. :3 I went to a D-Gray photoshoot with Mel on Friday, and to the Moonlight Ball with her and Bonnie on Saturday night for a while. I didn't get to see Zexy as much, but she stopped by my table twice to say hi and give her her present~ ♥

On Friday I wore my Org13 Demyx outfit. It was INSANELY HOT. DAMN PLEATHER. And I forgot my gloves at home, so I just wore my shark/dolphin rings instead. *shrug* I also didn't have my boots because the morons I ordered them from backed out at the last minute. This was remedied Saturday morning, though, when I found awesome bootcovers in the Dealer's Room. Then Saturday during the day I wore my casual!Demyx outfit. Did I mention I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new wig? It's so awesome there are no words to describe it. And it fits perfectly, and stays in place all day, it doesn't even budge. >w<~ Anyhow! Then Saturday night for the Moonlight Ball I wore my Haine cosplay. Sunday was Org13 Demyx again for a while, then last-minute casual!Lavi that pretty much all came from my closet lol.

I didn't buy a whole ton of stuff like I do most years because I was trying to save monies for Otakon, but I did get four boxes of pocky, a Riku plushie (I always get myself a plushie at AN), and about 30 buttons. XD; A bunch of KH ones, some FFVII ones and some Ouran ones. Also, one booth had kitty buttons and the proceeds from them went to a cat rescue, so I got myself one of those. Then I got three more the next day to send to people. XD; Oh, and I got some henna done on my arm. It's faded out now, but I took pics of it~

2) ON THE WAY HOME FROM ANIME NORTH. Two things happened; first, I was looking out the window of the van and actually saw a songbird attack a hawk in midflight. It was spectacular and I couldn't believe it. I've seen that kind of thing on Animal Planet, but I never thought I'd see it IRL. WOW.

Second... I broke a knuckle in my right hand. >__>;; I caught it in a booth when we stopped for food. It was all bruised for a while and hurt like a bitch, but I didn't bother going to the hospital. *shrug* Which was fine until a couple days ago when I smashed it off a doorknob and re-cracked it. xD; *FAIL OMFG*

3) OTAKON. Well... I didn't make any money toward Otakon at AN like I'd wanted, but I still managed to finagle out a way to pay for it. GO ME. Basically, I'm not paying my parents rent for next month, and then paying double in August. I'm also borrowing $300 from my Grandma, which I'm paying back in September. Ugh more debt but fuck it, I'M GOING. XD; So I've already paid for my registration and my plane tickets (NO 26 HOUR BUS RIDE FOR ME THIS YEAR), which completely maxed out my credit card two weeks ago, but you know... whatever. >>; It'll get paid off at the end of the month.

Maddie love, let me know when you have a tentative total for the stuff we're doing in Dayton and gas monies and everything. ♥

Cosplay for Otakon! Org13 Demyx and Haine for sure. Also, I think I'm going to do Riku cosplay from BOYS, just for kicks and to see how many people get it. I could trim up my Suigintou wig a bit and it'd work for Riku totally fine. I NEED SOME HEMP BRACELETS AND STUFF. I SHOULD GET SOME HEMP AND JUST MAKE THEM MYSELF IT WOULD BE CHEAPER. I also need some gray arm warmers to go as fake long sleeves under the t-shirt so that I don't have to wear layers lol. Also, yakuza!Kadaj, complete with pinstripe shirt and fedora. >D

I'm also bringing about six other wigs in case myself or anyone wants to do impromptu cosplay of anything. My Kyo wig for sure, and my blonde pigtail one, and probably my blue one and maybe my red one, though I got that one for Axel cosplay (next year maybe), and I don't want it to get messed up between now and when I have a chance to style it... hmm. Must think on this more.

4) B-GRADE MOVIES. After AN, we stopped at Dad and Lois' place to say hi and see teh doggies, and I borrowed 24 b-grade movies from him. XD TWENTY-FOUR. AWESOME. Some of the best ones were The Burrowers, Alien Raiders and Decoys (the second one is bad though.) I also borrowed Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, which I LOVED. ♥

5) SORA AND RIKU. Last week I had to take my rats to the vet. Riku was diagnosed with pneumonia, and the vet gave me antibiotics for him... but unfortunately, he died the next day. It's sad, but he was in a really bad way, so I'm kind of glad he didn't suffer for long. Sora doesn't seem to know what to do without him, though. Also, I had to treat Sora for mites today. That's no big deal, though.

6) JEWELRY. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN BUYING SOME JEWELRY, LOOK HERE. 90% OF IT IS STILL AVAILABLE.

7) FEET. Last Friday, my feet and ankles swelled up to twice their normal size. As in, I had no discernable ankle, and could barely walk because of it. =_=;; And they stayed that way until TUESDAY NIGHT. WTF? I have no idea why, but it was a pain and a little disturbing on top of that. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday though, and the doctor wants me to go for bloodwork, since it's possible my meds are the cause of the swelling. Yep.

8) DOCTORS IN TORONTO. A while back, I mentioned about going in for gastric bypass surgery. Last month I went to the initial consultation in Toronto, and then earlier this month I went for the appointment with the social worker and dietician. I still have to go to a gastric bypass class, and see an internist before going back to the surgeon again, at which point my surgery will actually be scheduled.

Things are actually coming along rather well. The only big problem right now is that my Grandma is really against it. She doesn't think I should do it. But then she thinks that my weight issues are my fault. It's bad enough that strangers assume I'm lazy and don't eat well, but having my own Grandma think that really hurts. She keeps giving me lectures about exercise and eating right-- I already eat right (even the dietician was impressed), and I exercise as much as I can but with my legs the way they are, it isn't always possible. I have to walk with a cane, Grandma, it's not like I can just break into an easy run. *sigh* I really need to talk to her about it, but... I know I'll just get another lecture about not trying hard enough, and end up crying for two days over it. I dunno...

9) THE YARD. Mom has decided this summer that she's sick of the back and front yard (what little we have of them, this is just a townhouse after all), and wants them to look really nice. So we've all been working on the yard for the last month, putting down sod and seeding and watering and pulling up weeds. Also, in the front yard we lined the sidewalk with quartz stones, with solar lights along the other side. Then next to the door we planted a little cedar tree, with more quarts around it. Yep.

10) ROLEPLAY. I haven't been rping as much lately, with everything IRL. I was supposed to be back from hiatus at TV like a month ago. I really need to get back there before people get sick of it and I get kicked out.

I have, however, been rping some zombie!apocalypse-verse Kingdom Hearts with Michi over email. It's hilarious and fun. Plus RikuRoku, which makes me happeh. :D And I've been rping with my bb Kiin over at losechesters, which is a comm Kiin set up for us for "Winchestertastical" roleplay. I'm Sam and she's Dean and basically it's just for the sake of crack. It's SO much fun. Which reminds me, I need to think up another post for there... >.>;

Yesterday Mom and I went to Toronto for my appointment with the gastroenterologist. Basically, it took an hour and a half to drive there, almost two hours of waiting in the waiting room for the appointment (the doctor was running stupidly late), and then when I finally got in, the phone rang TWICE in the middle of the consult, which he picked up, and then talked about finances for twenty minutes each time while I sat there with nothing to do.

Then he told me I'm fat because I don't eat properly and don't excersize, which I'm used to hearing from doctors by now. It's very frustrating because it's not fucking true, but that he would do the surgery anyway. Then he told me I had to make appointments with three other specialists before he could even do the real consult with me. WHAT? You couldn't have told me that over the phone so I could do that BEFORE driving way the hell down there? FFS. Then after the next consult with him, it's 4-6 months until the surgery. *sigh* What a pain.

Anyway, to make up for that craptacular experience, Mom and I went to the World's Biggest Bookstore while we were there (turns out it's half a block from the Greyhound station and I never even realised *facepalm*), where Mom got me volumes 7-10 of After School Nightmare, 1-2 of Cherry Juice and Absolute Boyfriend (which I subsequently downloaded scanlations of the rest because it was so good, I'm so buying the rest of the set!), the first volume of Tsubasa (Those With Wings) and 6 of Vampire Knight. Also, a book on handwriting analysis, a nightmare encyclopedia, a book about cults, a book about the knights templar, a Sylvia Browne book on psychic children, Deluge by Anne McCaffrey and Elizabeth Ann Scarborough (FINALLY) and Crime Spells, which is a short story collection about magical crimes. >w<~

There hasn't been any new news on Wally since Sunday. Originally, they had said that if he didn't show any improvement over the weekend, they would pull the plug on Monday. Saturday night, he started trying to breathe on his own again, though, and Sunday he started moving a little and his eyes were open off-and-on (though they're unsure if he was actually seeing or not). He's still got to be on life support, and obviously hasn't been talking, but since they're seeing improvement, now they're waiting longer to see how he does in a more long-term setting. We're all still really hopeful that he'll pull out of it...

EDIT #2: A couple days ago, the people who were supposed to be custom-making the boots I was going to be using for Org13!Dem and Lavi cosplay emailed me and backed out. WTF. SO ANNOYING, especially so close to Anime North. They refunded the money, and I was panicking about not having the boots, but Mel says she can make me some bootcover-things, so it should be okay. Then I can try to find the actual boots later on. Yay~

EDIT #3: *facepalm* God, lookit the edits today. Anyway, my passport came in and I picked it up yesterday. AWESOME. Now assuming I can afford it, I can get into the US for Otakon. :D

I got my hair cut yesterday. It's not super short like last time, but kind of a bob-cut, but with the front longer than the back. I like it... however. My hair has a tendency to flip outward when it's short, which it is doing with a vengence, so now if I want my hair to look really nice I have to blowdry it and use the curling iron and hairspray. *facepalm* Oh well. Most days I don't care if it spikes up and flips out, and if I do want it to look nice it's short enough it shouldn't take too long to style. Photos later.

Phantom, my rabbit who hates everyone of the human persuasion, and has ever since I got her because she was massively undersocialized as a baby, likes my brother. Phantom likes my brother. WUT? I don't get it. Whenever anyone else (including me, and I've had her for five years and never done nothing but shower her with affection) picks her up or touches her, she panicks and hyperventilates, shakes and grunts and wheezes because she's so freaked out. Yesterday I got my brother to help me clip her nails and she was like :3 in his lap the entire time. ASDGH WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?! I JUST WANT HER TO LIKE ME! ;A;

Finally... my step-dad got a call a couple of days ago that one of his friends, Wally, had a heart attack. Aparently, he called 911, but when the paramedics got there, he was out of it. They had to put a breathing tube in, and when they did his heart stopped; it was stopped for fifteen minutes while the paramedics worked on him on the way to the hospital. They got his heart started up again, and he's in the ICU. As of yesterday they were waiting to see if he had brain damage... and today they did some scans, and he does have a lot of it from lack of oxygen when his heart was stopped. He hadn't woken up, and at this point if he doesn't improve by Monday they're planning to pull the plug.

It's really hard on Lee, since Wally is his close friend, and they've known each other most of their lives. They got together last weekend to play music together. Wally was even set to open a restaurant in two weeks, which is something he's been planning forever.

I'm worried about Lee, and so is Mom and my brother. I don't know how I really feel, it's weird because even I've known Wally for eighteen years. He's a really nice guy, and a good person, a good friend. He used to make me laugh when I was a kid. He doesn't deserve this... I hope he'll be okay, but realistically I know it's not likely. It's really sad...

Mom and I went to Huntsville on Thursday, and did what was supposed to be window shopping but turned into real shopping. >.> I got some more birds for my collection (I'll take pics of them some time to share), and then we went into a bead store and I spent like $70. -.-;; And then of course we went into the Nutty Chocolatier, soooooo... >___>;;

EDIT: Also, wtf this morning I woke up and my beta fish Teal... was not in his bowl. @__@ He is still MIA. I think he jumped out during the night and most likely met an untimely end via one of the cats. Poor Teal! TT~~~TT RIP my fishy buddy!

I've been making bracelets off and on all day. Some of them are really cute. I love the pink and black one, and the one with the little round beads with funky patterns. I think the one with fake pearls is really pretty, but it's not something I'd wear. They're all for selling at AN, obviously.

Tomorrow Mom and I are going to visit Grandma in the morning, and then after that we're going to Huntsville... and I SHALL BE GOING TO THE FUCKTASTICALLY AWESOME BEAD STORE THERE. HOMG SO EXCITED. >w<~

Yesterday, Mom and I did a few errands and while we were out we ran into one of Grandma's friends. I didn't think about it, but I had my cane with me. Today Grandma called and was worried because I hadn't mentioned the cane to her, and Mom says she was hoping it was because of an accident or something, and was upset to learn that no, I'm using it because my legs and back have declined a lot the last few months.

That conversation lead to me chatting with Mom about various things, generally depressing myself, and then crying over how fucking unfair the world is. -__-;;

Other than that... not much to report. I'm tired, but I have a new episode of Supernatural to watch before I crash for the night.

EDIT: House missed his posse. And thus is building a new one. XD I'm probably more amused by that than I should be. lol.

Loki's nail caps came in today. I was all excited when I saw the package, and as soon as Mom got home I got her to hold him so I could put them on (it ended up taking both her and Lee to hold Loki down, he flailed a lot and it turns out he's super strong. XD;;) Anyway, he immediately chewed two off, which I replaced about an hour later, and then right after that he pulled another one off. UGH.

I'm hoping he gets used to them. But I was worried they would be a problem, especially considering when he grooms his feet he chews his nails; I've never seen a cat do that other than him, and normally it's not an issue, but obviously it could be with him wearing the nail covers. *sigh*

Anyway, I guess we'll see. For now he's still missing one nail cap (I'll replace it and any he chews off tonight at some point tomorrow), and still wearing the cone collar in an attempt to help him get used to them by making it a little harder for him to destroy them. If these caps don't work, I'll have to go back to the plan where I have his back claws removed. >.<;;

I cooked dinner tonight, coca-cola chicken, rice and beans. Yummy.

And I dug through my cosplay stuff to organize it some (so I'm not doing it at the very last minute for AN), and I can't find my chain for casual!Demyx. :| I have no idea where it's gotten to. I might have to make another one. Not that it was hard to make lawl. I haven't lost anything else though, thankfully.

I want a fedora for Kadaj for pics with Pronnie in the summer at Otakon, but idk where to get one. xD; And I need to make sure it doesn't clash with the shirt I have for yakuza!Kadaj too. I wish I could have Souba to take with me for those pics too, since he uses that as opposed to firearms. But even if I could make one, I so don't want to try taking it on the plane to Baltimore. >>;; I'm also bringing green ribbons for pics with Pronnie's Haruhi cosplay because LOL.

You can tell con season is coming up, half my journal nowadays is about cosplay. :D;

I need a studded belt. /random. I mean. >>; I have one, but the buckle is all flowers and stuff, so it doesn't go with the male cosplays I want to do. XD;; My red one is awesome too, but it has hearts in it... which I guess would work for some KH stuff, actually, now that I think about it. ._.;

I had a really good cuddle with all three of my kitties today. At the same time. X3 I was sitting in the basement, watching Ghost Whisperer with Mom and Lee, and Tri decided he wanted a snuggle, so he hopped up with me. Then a few minutes later, Loki wandered over and joined us. Then a couple minutes after that, Neko came over as well. It was super nice, but really crowded in the chair. XD;

Next month I need to get more minutes for my phone, just in case someone attempts to call, since right now I can't get calls. Or, I guess I can, but I only have 35 cents worth of credit, which is like... one minute. ^_^;;

And I have what I think is a canker sore starting on the inside of my left cheek. Either that or I bit myself in my sleep (which I have been known to do >>;), and I'm hoping that's it. If not I guess I'll deal. Whatever.

Oh, and that Manga Head hair styling goo stuff. SO AWESOME. It kept my hair all spiked up overnight while I was sleeping and tossing and turning too. xD; But the big plus is that it washes out super easy as well. I am in love with it. ♥ I was going to style my hair into something crazy before Mom and I went out for groceries today, but she was like "I'll disown you," so I didn't. XD;;

Today Mom almost gassed us all. By accident of course. The cat litter box in the basement apparently has a leak, and she went to clean it up; cat urine is mostly ammonia (duh) and she didn't think about it and just poured bleach down to clean it. >.<; Then there was frantic mopping it up while it made us both cough and burned our eyes like hell. My eyes hurt for like an hour. -.-; But you know, at least the floor is clean? XD;

Tomorrow I'm going to Walmart to get a copy of KH: Chain of Memories, and a gift for Jose. And a new litter box. >__>;

Was bored a little while ago, so I messed around and changed Nazoko's hair. She came with three wigs (the one in the pics before, plus two others that are the same except for a vague colour difference) so I put one of the other ones on. It's much longer and has bangs on it. I like it. And since I have two I'm considering attempting to dye it red. If it works out then I don't have to buy a red wig for her... though I have my heart set on this one. We'll see I guess.

I made fall squash soup today. Pumpkin/potatoes/pears/onion in it, and Gouda cheese as a topping. It was really different from what I normally make, but turned out good. The whole family is in love with Gouda now, which sucks because it's really really expensive. :P

The other day, I found out that the used book store at the corner sells manga for $5 each. I may be in trouble lol. I got 1-6 of After School Nightmare, because I'd heard about it a while back and it sounded interesting.

Also, yesterday I went out with Mom and got my belated-birthday present, a new digital camera. It's tiny and black and I generally adore it. It takes really nice photos. Mom also got me a memory card for it, so it can hold something like 600 pictures all together now.

Dad was supposed to come up tomorrow morning for Christmas with us, but he's been called in to work on his day off again. No idea when he's actually going to make it up. This is the third time he's told us he's coming and then had to cancel. It sucks.

EDIT: And I mailed half of my Christmas packages the other day. The second half are going to be mailed next week, since Mom and I couldn't carry them all. >>;

Yeah, so I haven't posted anything in forever. >>;

1) Christmas #1: On the 23rd the immediate family did Christmas. I got a couple movies, and my cell phone. Also a book, and a gift card, and a chair for at my computer. It was nice. Most of my Christmas from Mom and Lee was the phone though, lol.

2) Christmas #2: On the 24th, we all went up to Grandma's place to do prep for the turkey and everything the next day. That night we gave Grandma the gift that my brother and I got for her, and she gave us our cards with monies in them, because she's been too sick to go out shopping. The next day the whole family was over and we had dinner, and did the family gift exchange. I ended up with a wok set, which is awesome because I'm the one who bought that one because I wanted it. XD;

3) Dad couldn't make it up in time for Christmas, so he's coming up this next weekend to exchange gifts. THE GIFT I ORDERED FOR HIM BEFORE CHRISTMAS BETTER BLOODY BE HERE BY THEN, DAMMIT. >__O;

3) Did nothing for New Year's, though that morning I did get my cell activated. Thank God I have three months free texting, because despite not planning on using it much I've been texting A LOT. I'll need a text plan when my free time runs out. XD;;

4) My RY secret santa gift from toxicatedpoison got here the other day! Eee! It's a pretty crystal heart pendant that she got engraved with "Sena". ILU SO HARD PRONNIE. ♥

5) Speaking of RY, tomorrow we are officially on hiatus for two weeks as a community, so that Steph, Maddie and I can kind of revamp it, and add in more plot points and get everything back on track. WE SHALL RETURN.

6) My birthday was yesterday! 8D ...I did nothing for it, and didn't get any presents, though a bunch of people wished me a Happy Birthday. At some point this week Mom is taking me out to buy me a new camera though, she just hasn't had the time until now.

7) Yesterday I met up with Pam and Ryuu-chan at the Tim Hortons at the corner, and we hung out there and talked for almost two hours. Then we came back here and hung out some more. It was really nice because I haven't seen any of my RL friends in over a year. Turns out Pam is living in town again (sort of anyway, she's actually just outside of town), so hopefully I can see her some more now, at least until she moves to Alberta in a year or so.

8) One of my new wigs (for Haine cosplay from The Gentlemen's Alliance) came in a couple days ago, and I FREAKING LOVE IT. It's long and curly and light brown with blonde streaks, and looks freakishly good on me, or so everyone is telling me. XD; Now I wish I hadn't cut my hair so short so I could dye and curl it lol.

Yesterday Sarah took Mom, Lee and I out to dinner at the Mandarin in Barrie. It was really nice. I had sushi, and dumplings. :3 And strawberry shortcake for dessert. Usually Sarah really gets on my nerves, but I was actually fine with her last night. I somewhat taught her to use chopsticks... with um, questionable results lol.

Today Mom and I took a trip to the storage unit today to unload the few things that had to go there, and then went to the dollar store out by Walmart to look for beads and things. Maddie I have lots of beads for you, I'll be including them in the Christmas box. Happy super-late Birthday! :D

Tomorrow I have to get back into baking again, since I'm like five days away from Christmas. ><; I needed a break, and don't really feel like messing around baking all on my lonesome, so Lee says he'll help out some tomorrow to keep me company, and I can probably convince Mom to give me a hand as well.
