| Sugar Cane? |

Trying not to be a stupid bunny owner here, so I gotta ask...
A friend of mine handed me a piece of sugar cane, roughly 8 inches long and about 3/4" wide. Really hard stuff - like tree wood, the kind you crush and get sugar cane juice out of. He had cut his crop of sugar cane earlier today to make into sugar cane juice (all organic, home grown, etc..), to be cooked down, into both syrup and molasses. He was chewing on a piece and I asked for one, as I'd done that many a time in my younger years. I was able to start chewing them it hit me, hey, I bet Autumn would LOVE this. so I put it in a baggy, then in my pocket and thought nothing more of it till I got home.
But I've gotta ask - is it okay to give that to a rabbit? I know that excess sugar is bad, but can she get so much sugar from something so hard? She can barely gnaw on her grass mat (well no less than any normal 2 1/2 lb bunny). I'd love to give it to her if I knew that it wouldn't cause her problems (she loves apples and strawberries - which I also give to her very sparingly), and thought this might be a nice treat, but I really don't want to upset her system.
I'm thinking no, and I'm probably rambling, but as late as it is and tired as I am, I just can't think up a correct answer, so I'll hold onto the stick until I get some good info on the subject (all the info I can find is for sugar cane juice and compressed sugar cane shavings, etc... - none of which is what I have).

I'm absolutely in love with this video, I don't even know how to express it. It's simple, but beautiful, and the colours are perfect and if you ignore Siwon's pants everyone looks great. *.* I've always thought the song was gorgeous, and I'm so glad it's the one they picked to promote.
SJ-M have been what's kept me going the past few weeks. I don't know how I'd be managing without them to brighten up my day.
Especially with the D-BOYS blogs taken down. I can understand why WE did it, but still. That was pretty much the only way I had to keep tabs on what was going on with the boys. It's true that I was kind of falling out of that fandom anyways, but this is sort of like the final kick out of the door. It makes me sad, too, because that's one of the whole reasons I started learning Japanese in the first place: so that I could understand their blogs :/
Well, there are other cute boys with blogs that are still open, of course :D For example, Kouhei, why so ridiculously adorable?! Wishing himself a happy birthday like that XD; I love him.

This weekend, my homework is to read the entirety of Shadow Family, which is actually a pretty quick read, about 100 pages for history, and to finish Soseki's Kokoro. Then I have two 3-4 pagers, one for SF and one for Kokoro, and I have to work on my 15 page thesis (but thank Shisus, Hogan-sensei gave us a week extension!) *buckles down on work load*
I'm really wondering if I should just drop out of the TCG and RPing :/ I feel bad just taking up space at both places. But if I were to hiatus, I'd probably never end up coming back, because at this point, I'm pretty sure none of this is going to get any better. Even next semester, my course load isn't any easier. Idk. I'll give myself a little more time to think about it.
My dad is back from Japan! :D He bought me socks. Random souvenir. Next month he's going to Seoul for a week :o First Japan, now Korea?! Why does my dad get to go everywhere I want to go? /jealous. Also, my mom mailed me Girl Scout cookies 8DD *hoards Tagalongs*

I mentioned previously that Axel had developed a lump on his ear. It continued to grow & was obviously annoying him so I phonedthe vet. Luckily, they had a cancellation this morning so I was able to bring their check-up forward.
-bit unpleasant from here on-
Turns out it was an ingrown hair that had become infected. Vet opened the skin & loads of pus escaped. He's on antibiotics now.
I was rather surprised at this, because it suggests he's not been grooming well enough. Maybe it was just the stress of uprooting here.

Hi guys
Axel (approx 2 1/2 yr old, neutered male, dwarf lop cross) has developed a lump towards the top of his ear. It's currently about the size of a pea. It seems to have appeared very suddenly, as he loves having his ears stroked, and yesterday I didn't notice anything. Today he's flincing & scratching at his ear a lot more than usual.
Does anyone have any ideas about this?
My buns have their annual check-up in a fortnight, so I was wondering whether I should talk to the vet now, or if it can wait.
Advice please!

The bad news is that the computer, after behaving for two weeks, took a turn for shit last night. The good news is that I know for certain now that it is the keyboard that is causing all the grief, and that should be a relatively simple remedy.

Hi all,
Thanks for your hugs, scritches & advice. Just thought you might like to know that I popped home at lunch today to pick up my mobile, and was surprised to find a £25 voucher for my nearest big chain pet store... courtesy of the electrician. I usually use the little family-run one around the corner, but I think buns may be getting an early Christmas present now.
Whilst I'm obviously grateful for the thought, I'm just happy that forking out for forgiveness may make him think twice next time!

first off, because i can...
SUGAAHCUBE HIIII! welcome to my journal XD
it's been a series of strange days for me. it all started last saturday when i thought i was being haunted. it was cold where i live so i was wearing a sweater and i was in the home office chatting with amanda. anyway, so i felt something tap my arm, then again my head and then again my other shoulder. i was getting afraid so i turned on the lights and WTF OMG it was a FROG. something i am more afraid of than snakes or lizards! I SCREAMED and people in the house thought we were being robbed =\ sorry i couldn't help it. they caught the darn thing and put it outside. i have no idea how it got in and i really don't want to know. i just wanted it out! out! out! and so my odd days followed. i couldn't sleep after that. this is how much i fear frogs. my period came back with a vengeance too @_@ my mother told me to start thinking right because obviously this was all psychological. i agree with her, tbh. so tonight i will force myself to sleep no matter what!
